The highest grade organic ceremonial matcha green tea available, organically shade-grown and crafted by a fourth generation family farm on a single-estate tea garden in the renowned Uji terroir of the verdant mountains of Wazuka, Kyoto, Japan.

This beautifully balanced tea is crafted with care from the youngest, most tender leaves of a single cultivar tea variety named Okumidori — well known for it's affinity to produce well-rounded, balanced, flavourful matcha. Presenting with notes of green pea, almond and sweet grass, a natural earthy umami, and a smooth velvety full-bodied mouth feel.

Traditionally ground with stone [to keep the leaves cool], this delicate green tea powder is milled to order from first flush tea leaves and flown direct in small batches from a certified organic tea farm to ensure optimal freshness and farm to cup quality is maintained.

100% JAS certified organic matcha green tea

Sift 1-2 scoops [1/2 tsp] into a tea bowl. Add a splash of hot water at ~80°C*. Swirl into a liquid paste with whisk. Top up with ~100ml of hot water. Whisk in a rapid zigzag motion until frothy. Adjust water quantity according to taste. Keep airtight in a cool dry environment after use to preserve quality.

*Due to the delicate nature of matcha, it is best to brew with water no hotter than 80°C. Recommend using temperature controlled kettle or wait 3-5 mins after kettle has boiled.
